School has Started!

I am going on my 3rd week of school and boy time is moving quickly!  We have finally broken our 100 plus weather this weekend.  Today is Labor Day, and I have celebrated it by working in my classroom.  I've just been trying to get caught up on all the "paperwork" that school requires.
The kiddos are beginning to pick up on our classroom routines (as well as me) and we had our first show-n-tell this past Friday.  We brought things that started with the first letter in our names.

My Show-N-Tell that we all just had to try on...

Ok, So WOW! That flew by...

Back at school for Staff Development and Meet the Teacher is this Thursday!!!

So in ALL my spare time I've once again been blog stalking and became a fan of pinterest.  So here are some ideas I've found on pinterest and made them my own.

These are my crate seats! They were quite simple to make and I can't wait for the kiddos to get to use them.

Saw these "teacher to-do" boards on pinterest. I made this one for a rock'n KinderQueen across the hallway from me!

This is also modified from pinterest.  It's a behavior chart using clips.  We are Bulldogs, so I made the icons to match the theme of dogs.

This last one is my idea.  I used an old scarf to make a bulletin board. ( our local teacher resource store was out of black paper so I had to get crafty)  Turns out, I'm very proud of the way it turned out.  Free is always nice.

My room is finally coming together...it's about time since we start next week. So it's on to lesson plans, flipcharts, and new concepts about grading.  See ya next summer. JK JK I'm gonna try to keep this up.

A New Wide Web World :)

Hi, I'm Liz and I'm new to the blog world.  My friend introduced me just the other day and I have simply fell in love with the technology we have available these days. Do people even remember the sound of dial-up?  I am going on my 3rd year of teaching KINDERGARTEN and I love, love, love my job.  When I'm not teaching I like to scrapbook, scrapcraft, read, write, and anything with technology.  I eventually want to get my Masters in Technology Education...but that's a while away, esp. with student loans. That hunk of a guy in the picture is my boyfriend. We have been together a little over a year. He is AMAZING!!
